Gamecube
Nintendo, 2001
The Gamecube was released by Nintendo in the fall of 2001. The successor to the Nintendo 64, the Gamecube was Nintendo’s first console to run graphics at 128 bits. Some of the Gamecube’s most notable titles include Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, and Metroid Prime.
My Thoughts
I have not one, but two Gamecubes——both of which I played at my dad’s office when I was little. Eventually, I ended up just taking them home (not sure why I took both?) They were both my older cousins, though, and they never used them, so they just let me have them. I never actually played the Gamecube(s) much after I took them home. Funny enough, I think the real novelty was getting to play them while at the office. Oh well.
